My intention is to portray the organic forms of the Alphabet by using human body part: the hand. I set the camera setting to manual shutter speed*, so I can freely created each letters by overlapping the movements of my hand. I was actually inspired by ASL (American Sign Language). How the language can create a letter or words with a single hand motion, which got me thinking. With one hand, I was able to create letters or even shapes that we are familiar with, but you cannot actually create actual Alphabets with one hand. It'll be impossible for your hand to stretch and twist in anyway, unless you are made of elastic. Therefore, I came up with the solution by maintaining the structural shape of my hand to actually capture the motions of my hand to create something that anyone can read: the Alphabets.

*For those who are unfamiliar, slow camera speed can capture overlaps of photos in the long period of time. Therefore, motions that are captured can be blurr in artistic and painterly way.
